Supa also called Mayureshwar Wildlife Sanctuary is located very close to Pune and is worth a visit. Located off Sholapur road about 15 kms south of Chaufula Village and nestled in the dry belt, this sanctuary mainly comprises grassland and scrub forest. The Sanctuary spreading over 500 hectares is famous for the Chinkaras (Indian gazelle), Indian Wolf, Indian Fox and Hyena.

Having open grasslands makes it an ideal location for photography. Supa also tends to be a good location for birds especially raptors like Bonelli’s Eagle and Short-toed Snake Eagle.
